Former Three Days Grace frontman Adam Gontier missed a scheduled meet-and-greet with fans at Rockapalooza.  Now, he has issued an apology.  In a statement to MLive a representative said:

“The Adam Gontier band would like to offer their sincerest apologies for the cancellation of their scheduled VIP meet & greet at Rockapalooza. The decision hinged on circumstances outside of the band's control. Due to lack of sufficient safety and security measures at the venue, the meet & greet was deemed to be too high of a risk for fans, band members and equipment.

The band has not previously missed a single meet & greet at any prior event. They will continue to make all scheduled appearances in the future, provided that promoters and venues ensure a safe environment for all. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

Fans who purchased $100 VIP passes to the festival expected to meet Gontier.

Gontier left Three Days Grace citing a "health issue" in January.  Since then, he's performed with his own band and has spent a lot of time on Facebook.
