In 2009, Crash Kings scored a big alternative hit with their song Mountain Man.  It was on their debut, self-titled album.

They have recorded their second album, Dark of the Daylight, but lost support from their label.  That means they don't have the resources to promote the new album.

So, the band is using the crowdfunding website Kickstarter to raise the money they need to promote the album, create artwork, and make music videos.

They started on May 15th with a goal of $15,000.  They got $19,695 in two days.  With the remaining 28 days, the band will still raise money that will go towards more promotion and they hope to use some of the money to start work on new music.
