Posted June 14th, 2013 @ 10:43am

Jack Johnson will replace Mumford & Sons as the Bonnaroo Saturday night headliner.  The band was forced to cancel their show while bassist Ted Dwane recovers from brain surgery.

Johnson already planned on attending Bonnaroo.  He was there to sit in with ALO.  So, festival organizers asked if he was willing fill in for Mumford & Sons.  Johnson explains:

"I called my band and asked if they were up for it.  Long story short – they are headed this way.  I’ve got a lot of lyrics and chords to relearn by Saturday night.  I was here to play the first Bonnaroo and it is a very special festival to my band. We are excited to hit the stage again.  Get well Ted!"

Jack Johnson will release a new album on September 17th called From Here To Now To You.  He recently released the album's first single, I Got You.
