Foo Fighters front-man (and Nirvana drummer) Dave Grohl plays drums on the new Queens of the Stone Age album, ...Like Clockwork.  Grohl previously played drums on the band's 2002 Songs for the Deaf album (which is the band's most commercially successful album).

Speaking to BBC Radio, Homme had some very kind words for his famous drummer:

"I have a special relationship with Dave. I've known him since I was 19. He makes something good, great. If something's mediocre he makes it great."

Grohl and Homme also are in Them Crooked Vultures with Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones.

...Like Clockwork features several other prominent guests.  Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor, Artic Monkeys' Alex Turner, Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears, and Elton John are all on the album.  Homme also told BBC Radio that he wanted Reznor to produce the album, but the band ended up self-producing it.

The new album releases on June 4th.  Earlier this week, the band released the first single, My God is the Sun.
