Beastie Boys' Mike D Gets Nostalgic About 90s Music

The Beastie Boys' Michael "Mike D" Diamond recently got nostalgic about the 1990's in an interview with Vanity Fair.

Mike D's thoughts have been chopped up into multiple videos.  He discussed the Biggie-Tupac feud in this video.

He also talked about grunge in the early 1990's.  Mike D explains how music and fashion changed from the late 1980's:

“All of a sudden, grunge came in, it wasn’t cool anymore, if you were a guy at the gas station, to be into Warrant.  You couldn’t have big, fluffy long hair—you had to have fucked-up shorter hair and a plaid shirt. You couldn’t be walking around the gas station in spandex anymore.”

In an upcoming clip, Mike D will talk about The Beastie Boys, particularly the group's Sabotage video.
