Earlier this week, a note that was found in the wallet of Kurt Cobain at the scene of his death was released.

We did not see the full note and there was absolutely no context.  But, the partial note read, "Do you Kurt Cobain take Courtney Michelle Love to be your lawful shredded wife even when she’s a bitch with zits and siphoning all (your) money for doping and whoring…”

That led to a lot of criticism of Cobain's widow, Courtney Love.  She's not a popular person among Nirvana fans.

But, that wasn't fair.

Mark Yarm, who wrote Everybody Loves Our Town: An Oral History of Grunge, the seminal book on Seattle and grunge music, released the full note.

It is possible that Love actually wrote the note.  The part of the note that we did not see read:

Will you promise to fuck her at least once a week ok.

Kurt Cobain biographer Charles Cross also says that Love wrote the note.  He told The Guardian that Love gave Cobain the note before their wedding.
