Primus will release a tribute to Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory on October 21st.  The album will be called Primus and the Chocolate Factory with the Fungi Ensemble.

The album will be the first Primus album to feature Les Claypool, Larry Lalonde, and Tim "Herb" Alexander all together since 1995's Tales from the Punchbowl.

Claypool explains the album to Rolling Stone, "As we started putting it together, especially with the expanded soundscape of having string and vibraphone and marimba, it started sounding to me like one of the early Peter Gabriel records meets Dark Side of the Moon meets the Residents.  That's what I get out of it. Obviously that's some big-ass horn-tooting to be doing."

Alexander, who recently recovered from heart surgery, apparently used a unique percussion set-up.  Instead of a drumkit, he's in "a giant circle, or pile of things to bang on."
