On Wednesday night's Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert mocked the Washington Redskins and their owner Dan Snyder.  Hoping to settle concerns over the team's name, Snyder recently started an organization called the Washington Redskins Original Americans Foundation.

Colbert decided to mock that with the "creation" of the "Ching-Chong Ding-Dong Foundation For Sensitivity to Orientals or Whatever."

That bit didn't seem to ruffle a ton of feathers.  But, a tweet from the official "Colbert Report" account set off a firestorm.  That tweet read, "I am willing to show #Asian community I care by introducing the Ching-Chong Ding-Dong Foundation for Sensitivity to Orientals or Whatever."

That sparked a lot of social media outrage.  "#CancelColbert" trended on Twitter.  Thousands of people lashed out at Colbert.  So, the tweet was deleted.

Then, the account shared this update and Colbert himself weighed in.
