Pearl Jam fans can keep up with the rock vets on-the-go now thanks to a new iTunes app. Eddie Vedder and company announced the free download on Thursday.
The app features music, news, a timeline of PJ's career milestones, mobile connectivity to the band's social media networks, and other goodies. It also serves as an extension of their Ten Club membership program. Ten Club manager Tim Bierman says they wanted to make sure fans could "reap all the benefits" of the band's website, PearlJam.com, without having to stay "bound to their computers." The Pearl Jam app is available now in the iTunes App Store or at iTunes.com/PearlJam.
The app is just one part of a "big and active" year for Pearl Jam. They're scheduled to kick off a North American tour on October 11th, followed by the release of their tenth studio album, "Lightning Bolt," on October 15th.
