While South Carolina is very specific about who can play pinball, Iowa's laws about butter are probably my favorite.
THRILLIST compiled a list of the weirdest laws in each state & I wanted to share some of my favorites:
Iowa
It is illegal to refer to imitation butter with the words "butter" or "dairy."
Missouri
Proceed with caution when hosting a garage sale because you could get in big trouble if it lasts more than 3 days.
North Carolina
Want to play more than 10 hours of BINGO a week? Better check the state's gambling laws first!
South Carolina
Must be at least 18 years or older to play pinball!
Virginia
You can kill raccoons until 2am on Sunday, but the rules on other "nuisance species" are more strict!
