This poor tree did not stand a chance. Then again, anyone standing around this tree when it was hit by lightning probably didn't stand much of a chance either. After the tree was struck by the lightning, it exploded and the amazing thing is what seems to have happened to the sap. To our eyes it looks like the sap is some sort of molten lava. This is some scary stuff. You know it is impressive when even the grizzled news guy is commenting on how amazing this security camera footage is...in slow-motion! Check it out
