Virginia is Home to Metallica's New Vinyl Pressing Plant

What a flex. To keep up with the demand, Metallica decided to just open up their own vinyl pressing plant in Alexandria, Virginia

For the first time since 1987, vinyl is outselling CDs in America, so the demand is already high but when you're Metallica it's even higher.

Metallica has acquired Furnace Record Pressing.

According to Variety:

Founded by Eric Astor in 1996, Furnace operates a 70,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility in Alexandria, Virginia, with 12 Pheenix Alpha presses and two Finebilt presses. It offers standard and heavyweight pressings, color vinyl, special effect color vinyl, and custom vinyl etching, and also oversees other services related to the creation and packaging of records.
