Fall Out Boy And AJR Perform At Joe Biden's Pre-Inauguration Concert: Watch

Joe Biden officially takes office on Wednesday (January 20); however, the party started early. On Sunday (January 17), a handful of artists, including AJR and Fall Out Boy, participated in a virtual We The People concert. The sibling trio performed one of their new singles, "Bummerland," while the pop punk heavyweights opted for an older song with 2015's "Centuries."

For Fall Out Boy, the performance served as a full-circle moment to Pete Wentz, whose parents met while working for Biden in the '70s. That's right, Joe Biden is the reason why Wentz exists, and thus why Fall Out Boy exists.

Mind. Blown.

Watch both performances below.

We The People isn't the only musical celebration on the docket. Another virtual event called Celebrating America plans to air on January 20 and will include performances from Foo Fighters, Bruce Springsteen, Justin Timberlake, John Legend, Garth Brooks, Jon Bon Jovi, Lady Gaga, and Demi Lovato. Tom Hanks is set to host.

Though Foo Fighters haven't announced what song they'll perform for the occasion, they have three new singles — "Waiting On A War," "No Son Of Mine," and "Shame Shame" — to choose from.

The 90-minute broadcast will feature pre-taped appearances from additional stars and air on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and MSNBC at 8:30 PM ET/5:30 PM PT.
