2 North Carolina Cities Named Among The 'Nicest' In The U.S.

America is home to many cities and towns that are filled with friendly and welcoming communities, but it's especially easy to find kindness in South, which is generally known for its hospitality. In fact, two popular cities in North Carolina were recognized as some of the nicest places in the entire country.

Clever Real Estate compiled a list of "nicest" cities in the U.S., with many of the destinations in the Top 10 found around the South, seemingly solidifying the idea of "Southern hospitality" thanks to its friendly residents. Among the list are two cities in North Carolina. Charlotte and Raleigh ranked as the No. 2 and No. 6 nicest cities in the country, respectively, while North Carolina as a whole ranked as the seventh nicest state in America.

These are the nicest cities in America, according to the report:

  3. Virginia Beach, Virginia
  4. Atlanta, Georgia
  5. Austin, Texas
  6. Raleigh, North Carolina
