Can You Ever Forgive Me Movie Review

Melissa McCarthy stars in this based-on-a-true-story movie.  In a dramatic turn, McCarthy plays Lee Israel, a struggling author that turns to forging letters from literary figures to make ends meet.  Out of necessity, she partners with her friend Jack to keep the ruse going.  McCarthy is great and it's good to see her in a serious role.  Jane Curtain is wonderful as Israel's agent.  The movie is based on the book of the same name, written by Lee Israel herself.  Unfortunately, Israel died before her story was brought to the big screen.  Can You Ever Forgive Me? is in theaters now.
