Movie Review: Avengers Endgame

I saw Avengers: Endgame opening weekend. I was lucky that there were any seats available as I was not one of the millions that purchased my ticket weeks in advanced. It's a good thing that I was going by myself. I was able to snatch up one of the last seats at a showing in the afternoon on a Sunday.

The movie is a good three hours long. At my showing, there was a full thirty minutes of previews. So my 2:30 p.m. movie didn't really start until 3:00 p.m. As another preview began, you could here the audience sigh a collective "not another one".

The movie is a great culmination of the story told in the Marvel films over the last ten years. It'll make you laugh, it'll make you cry, it'll make you cheer. There is one overall aspect of the film that I did not like. I can't go into specifics because I don't want to ruin it for anyone. But outside of that one thing, it was great. I loved Mark Ruffalo's portrayal of Hulk, which was a surprise for me. There were scenes/comments that I didn't get because I did not see every film in the franchise but that did not diminish the fun or the awe of the film.

Two thumbs up!! I'm excited to see what the next phase of the Marvel cinematic universe brings!
