Foo Fighters will fill the house at Madison Square Garden on June 20 for a fully-vaccinated audience in one of the first major indoor concerts in the United States in over a year.

Tickets to the landmark show in New York City will be available just nine days prior to the gig, starting June 11. Despite the short notice, there's little doubt that Foo Fighters fans will be ready to celebrate.

Dave Grohl emphasized in a statement how eager his band is to bring big rock concerts back to the Big Apple.

"We've been waiting for this day for over a year," Grohl said. "And Madison Square Garden is going to feel that hard. New York, get ready for a long-ass night of screaming our heads off together to 26 years of Foos."

The return of full-capacity concerts to New York City comes weeks after local professional sports teams began welcoming back large, near-capacity audiences to their home arenas and stadiums.

Madison Square Garden echoed Grohl's sentiment in a statement, released via the venue's website.

"We have been waiting for the moment when we can open our doors again to live music," the company said. "The Garden is ready to rock! Live entertainment is the backbone of the arts in New York City, and its return is so important to our city’s recovery. Your health and safety remain our top priority, and we have worked closely with state and health officials to ensure we have the strongest operating protocols with the goal of providing a safe and enjoyable experience."

The Garden has also confirmed upcoming concerts by Eagles later this summer and Billy Joel this fall, as the city aims to return to something resembling a pre-pandemic normal.

Guests will provide proof of their fully-vaccinated status by presenting their vaccination card, a photo of their vaccination card or by using New York State's Excelsior pass mobile app for people who received their shot(s) in New York.

The news comes less than a week after New York's iconic Beacon Theatre hosted the city's first live indoor concert in 448 days, Love Rocks NYC, the fifth annual benefit for the God's Love We Deliver charity.
