Finding your perfect mate has never been easy, but according to a recent poll, Millennials believe these days finding “The One” is harder than ever before.

According to a new Harris Poll, 45% of Millennials say finding love in this day and age is difficult, with 35% of both men and women saying their aren’t enough quality people to date. And a lot of them seem to be down about dating altogether, with 28% of men and 12% of women thinking it’s too expensive, while 21% of women an 19% of men say it takes up too much time.

Of course many of those folks are looking for love using dating apps, although it sounds like they’d rather not be. Overall, 45% of folks think apps lack authenticity, and apparently some think they don’t offer enough options. Features they’d like to see added to dating apps include:

  • Criminal background checks (64%)
  • Video profiles (54%)
  • Matching on fitness interests (51%)
  • Restaurant reservations in-app (47%)
  • Event booking in-app (43%)
  • Matching based on dietary preferences (41%)
  • Matching based on college (43%)
  • Only being set up with one match (32%)
  • Matching based on compatible DNA (31%)

As for which current dating apps are most popular with Millennials, Tinder remains the favorite (43%), followed by Match (23%), with Bumble more popular among women (22%) than men (16%).
