After a night of drinking it's pretty common to want to stuff your face with fast food as soon as possible-- and now science has uncovered why.
University of Michigan researchers analyzed 286 college students who filled out an anonymous online survey about their eating habits on a normal basis and after consuming alcohol.
Lead study author, Professor Jessica Kruger explains, "All alcohol drinkers were more likely to eat something before they went to bed after drinking alcohol than in general before they go to bed. It is believed that after drinking alcohol, the amount of blood glucose in the body can rise and fall which stimulates the brain to feel hungry."
