SIDENOTE: I love Starbucks. ALOT. Like, if I'm not drinking PEET'S COFFEE that I grind and brew at home, I'll go out and get some Starbucks because... it's just good. Now, I stick to skinny lattes as my typical go-too drink because, frankly, some of the specialty drinks are just too sweet for me... and too much sugar for me... is a bad thing. 

However, this is all about you... and I thought you might want to see this... because your eyes may pop out of your head when you see some of these sugar counts in some of your favorite holiday drinks... 

ICYMI: Here’s The Skinny On Starbucks’ Holiday Drink Sugar Content - For some people getting through the holidays means an extra shot of caffeine, but be prepared for the sugar that’s included.

Starbucks holiday drinks are popular this time of year, but many consumers might not know how many grams of sugar they're drinking. So, let’s drop a little knowledge about dietary sugar requirements before we share what your actual intake could be. The American Heart Association recommends no more than six-teaspoons or 25-grams of added sugar per day for women and nine-teaspoons or 38-grams for men.

Now that you know, you’ll need to sit down for this…

A 16-ounce-sized Juniper Latte, made with two-percent milk and whipped cream, has the least amount of sugar on the holiday menu, with 35-grams of sugar. Meantime, a 16-ounce Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha Latte, also made the two-percent milk and whipped cream, has the most amount of sugar, with 72-grams. The Toasted White Mocha Latte has about the same. The Caramel Brulee Latte runs about 59 grams and the Chestnut Praline Latte has 49 grams of sugar.
