It’s college graduation time - Is a college degree necessary for success? According to a new Wall Street Journal/Survey Monkey poll, 74% of respondents said yes, it was necessary for young people to get a college degree in order to be successful.Your thoughts? (Survey Monkey)

And then there’s this - A new study found that 59% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck and 44% say they usually carry a credit-card balance or have a hard time paying the bills. Only 38% have any kind of rainy day/emergency fund. In spite of these facts, people are still optimistic. 60% believe they will be wealthy some day, and 27% think that day will be in 15 years. Planes, trains, or automobiles? Just in time for Memorial Day, a new survey (done on behalf of Ford) found that when it comes to travel, most Americans would rather take a road trip. According to survey respondents, 73% feel driving to your destination is a much better experience than flying. In fact, the average American would be willing to add six and a half hours to their travel time if it meant they could avoid the airport and plane and drive instead.

The plus-sides of road-trippin’, according to survey respondents: Scenic views (69%), being able to stop whenever you want (69%) and being able to pack whatever you want (57%).

According to the survey, these are the Top 10 Most “Road-Trip-able” States:

VIDEO GAME ADDICTION COULD BE RECOGNIZED AS AN OFFICIAL DISEASE

In the next week or so, the World Health Organization is scheduled to vote on whether or not video game addiction is an official disease.

As it is now, something called “gaming disorder” is defined as a pattern of behavior in which the person playing thinks gaming is more important than any other interests or daily activities -- and keeps playing even if it leads to negative consequences.

And, the leaders of the World Health Organization are ready to decide if this disorder is a real disease that needs to be treated by real doctors. (Telegraph)

A LOT OF STUFF SOLD ONLINE IS COUNTERFEIT

According to a new study from the Better Business Bureau, one out of four items purchased online is actually counterfeit.

Researchers found that the Interwebs are filled with retailers selling fake designer shoes, sports team apparel and electronics -- among many other items. (WTMJ-TV)

Lil Nas X celebrated seven straight weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 by collaborating with Wrangler Jeans.

There’s a line in “Old Time Road” where Lil Nas X name-drops two designer brands. (quote) “Cowboy hat from Gucci, Wrangler on my booty.”

Gucci has yet to reach out, but Wrangler jumped at the opportunity to partner with a pop culture phenom. The Wrangler Lil Nas X Collection features graphic tees, jeans and Daisy Dukes with “Wrangler” written across the back.

The company said in a press release, (quote) “These are fresh remixes of classic Wrangler styles for the kind of modern cowboy that can’t be put in a box.” (Elle)
