#ReadThisFIRST: All the snooze that's fit to copy, paste and print!

Good morning, you guys! You are here, choosing to #ReadThisFIRST... and that means sooooo much! Thanks for... let's take a look at this Boxer, arguing about bedtime... because... #BEDTIME....

... and now, let's get into today's COPY AND PASTE ROUNDUP!

TODAY’S QUESTION:

Because Memorial Day Weekend is the unofficial start of summer …

  • What song best defines summer to you? What are the go-tos of your summer soundtrack? What song takes you back to summers of the past? For me, for some reason, the song by KEVIN RUDOLPH with LIL' WAYNE called LET IT ROCK comes to mind... I'm not sure why... but it just reminds me of a great summer...
  • What summer song always means windows rolled down, arm out the window, singing at the top of your lungs? I think it has to be the song SUMMERTIME by WILL SMITH. It's a Philly thing. If you ever lived there, worked there or whatnot, you know why. It just screams "THAT SONG" when it comes to windows down, having a moment, singing at the top of the lungs and whatnot. I mean, if I have to choose just ONE, that would probably be it.

Well here’s a bummer as we head into the Memorial Day Weekend… According to celebrity trainer Jillian Michaels, the key to getting flat abs is limiting alcohol. "Don't drink too much alcohol," she says. "Really try to bring this to four drinks a week, tops." There goes your summer of rosé … (Delish)

Are you going to a wedding this weekend? Apparently, that’s borderline rude of the newlyweds. These are the rudest days to get married (ranked from borderline rude to absolutely rude): Memorial Day (borderline rude), Labor Day (pretty rude), July 4th Weekend (super rude), Thanksgiving (almost rudest), and Christmas (absolute rudest). (USA Today)

Speaking of weddings… so bridal Crocs are a thing. Yep, “Bridal Sequin Crystal Clogs” -- which are basically fancied up Crocs -- are available onEtsyfor about $119. (Prevention)

New Coke comeback… You may not know this, but back in the '80s, Coke introduced something called “New Coke.” It was pretty much a disaster. New Coke was rolled out in 1985 … and lasted just 79 days before it was pulled from shelves. Well, the third season of Stranger Things premieres on Netflix on July 4th. The show takes place in the summer of 1985, the same year New Coke was introduced. It was such an important pop culture moment that there is no way the doomed drink could be left out of the season -- and to commemorate, The Coca-Cola Company is re-releasing New Coke in a very limited distribution. Starting today, you can take a sip of ‘80s nostalgia if you go to this link. Who knows? Maybe people will like it this time. (The Daily Meal)

Love ranch dressing? Now you can wear that love on your sleeve … and shorts … and swimsuits. Yep, Hidden Valley Ranch has released a collection of summer clothes and accessories on theirRanch Shop. You can choose from men’s and women’s swimwear – including a one-piece that features the slogan, “I Put Ranch on my Ranch” – T-shirts, towels, water bottles and even a Hidden Valley Ranch Pool Float. (Food and Wine)

Could avocados help you lose weight? Here’s a great reason to go for the guac at the Memorial Day BBQ … A new study from the Center for Nutrition Research at the Illinois Institute of Technology found that the good fat in avocados helps to suppress hunger and keep you full longer. No word on what the chips will do … (Reader’s Digest)

Just in time for Memorial Day Weekend grilling… While Americans eat 20 billion hot dogs a year, a survey found that 43% of us are too scared to find out what's in them. The survey found that women are more afraid of hot dog ingredients than men. 50% of women are scared to find out what's in hot dogs, compared to 37% of men. The survey also found that 33% of Americans avoid hot dogs because they think they’re made with low-quality meat, chemicals and artificial ingredients, and that 70% of Americans wish hot dogs were made with fewer ingredients. (Huffington Post)

Speaking of hot dogs… It’s officially hot dog season. According to the National Hot Dog & Sausage Council, hot dog season begins on Memorial Day and ends on Labor Day. And where are a lot of those hot dogs eaten? Ballparks, of course. Major League Baseball fans are expected to consume about 18.3 million hot dogs and nearly four million sausages this season.

BRING ON DAD BOD BEER

The DuClaw brewery in Baltimore has created the perfect beer for summer -- which they’ve named Dad Bod.

That’s right. Dad Bod Beer.

It's a double IPA with hints of tropical, pine and citrus hop flavors, brewed to be enjoyed in the summer sun -- and to celebrate beer bellies. (Whiskey Riff)

LOOK FOR SALES ON GADGETS DURING MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

As you’re heading into a long holiday weekend, keep your eyes open for big sales.

Sure. There will be plenty of ads for cars and mattresses out there.

But industry insiders say that that games and gadgets and other tech items will be on sale as well. (The Verge)

BILL GATES HAS BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS FOR YOU THIS SUMMER

Even though Bill Gates retired from Microsoft about five years ago, he remains the world’s second richest person, behind only Jeff Bezos.

Considering he’s had a nice bit of success in his business life, you might want to take some advice from him and -- maybe -- read what he’s reading.

This summer, he has five book recommendations:

  • Upheavalby Jared Diamond -- It’s about how societies react during moments of crisis.
  • 9 Pints: A Journey Through the Money, Medicine, and Mysteries of Bloodby Rose George -- A book about blood.
  • A Gentleman in Moscowby Amor Towles -- A novel about a rich guy under house arrest in Moscow.
  • Presidents of War: The Epic Story, From 1807 to Modern Timesby Michael Beschloss -- Politics!
  • The Future of Capitalism: Facing the New Anxietiesby Paul Collier -- Economics! (Fortune)

Want a SNEEK PEEK at my book recommendations? I've got five, too... they are:

• COMES AGAIN by HOWARD STERN - It's collection of pop culture interviews from the greatest broadcaster of all time, the Howard Stern, peace be upon him. It's also a primer on how to properly interview just about anyone... because he's the best at it and everyone else is hokey for the most part, going for some sort of viral BS... and they don't actually have conversations. It's worth reading. It's that good.
