There are many people remembering the events of 9-11-01 today. There are tons of way to remember 9-11. We choose to remember when our neighbors to the north really stepped up and showed the world what it is like to be a great humans. On 9-11 Gander, Newfoundland opened their town, and their homes to 7,000 shaken and disoriented passengers, nearly doubling the town’s population of 11,000. The entire community got involved by literally and figuratively opening its doors to stranded passengers who never forgot the hospitality of the small Canadian town. On this 9-11 we remember these great people. And we say thank you. To all who have served, those who are serving, and those, like in Gander, who are doing their part.
