Security Guard At An Aspen Hotel Gets Attacked By A Bear

If you are a security guard at an Aspen resort and you get a call about someone in the kitchen who shouldn't be...you're probably thinking it is an out of town guest who's edible has kicked in and the guy has the munchies. That was not the case when this security guard came face to face with a bear that had gotten into the kitchen. Guests reported seeing the bear inside the kitchen of the St. Regis Aspen Resort this past Monday. The security guard went to investigate and turned a corner, startling the bear. We don't know much about bears, but we do know that they do NOT like to be startled. The guard was able to get away from the attacking bear and call 911, but not before suffering scratches to his back. The good news is the security guard was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, was released, and is going to be okay.
