MUNCHIES, the food facet of Vice.com, has caused waves when it tweeted a story titled "Why is Brooklyn barbecue taking over the world?"
Needless to say, southerners are having a field day with this one, with the tweet showing two pickles, two rolls and a pile of meat on a large tray.
According to the writer, Brooklyn barbecue is spreading to every corner of the world like Colombia, Spain, Panama, Sweden, England and Japan. It's an "adapted form of Southern barbecue from Brooklyn."
Soon, people began tweeting what they believed real barbecue looks like - plates piled high with meat, beans, slaw and BBQ staples.
Seems the Carolinas, Texas and Kansas City finally agree on something.
