I know you're as bummed as I am that the new owner for the Carolina Panthers will NOT be P Diddy. Er Diddy. Or Puffy. Or Whatever he calls himself now. It looks like the new owner of the team is a man named David Tepper. Tepper is a minority owner in the Pittsburgh Steelers. The reason that it seems so likely is because there are no other formal offers on the table right now AND Tepper's already been vetted through the NFL Owners association since he already IS an owner. No word from Mr. Tepper's people and it's still a little early to celebrate, but this looks to be real.
Oh, and in case you were wondering... he would have to sell his shares in the Steelers in order to buy the Panthers.
