Major League Baseball could be making its way to Charlotte, North Carolina. Rob Manfred, the commissioner of the MLB, said Charlotte was one of four cities he has his eyes on for expansion. Las Vegas, Nashville and Portland were also mentioned.
"We have a real list of cities that I think are not only interested in having baseball, but are viable in terms of baseball — places like Portland, Las Vegas, Charlotte, Nashville in the United States, certainly Montreal, maybe Vancouver, in Canada,” Manfred said in an interview to Fox Sports. “We think there's places in Mexico we could go over the long haul."
The MLB is rumored to add two more teams. The league hasn't expanded since the late 90s.
