Panera has issued an official statement explaining their techniques (and fired the employee that shared the video)
Panera Bread prides itself on clean & simple ingredients, so a lot of people were questioning why their mac-n-cheese is FROZEN.
A now former employee shared a video of her dropping bags of their mac-n-cheese into boiling water and then once heated through, pouring it into a bowl.
A Panera spokesperson explained that the product is previously frozen saying, “to avoid using certain preservatives that do not meet our clean standards.”
