The summer hasn't even technically started and we're hearing all kinds of crazy news from the coast: riptides, jellyfish takeovers, sharks of course and now DEER. Yes, deer, like Bambi and not in the woods,in the Oregon Inlet of North Carolina. This is the supposedly dangerous (I'm not an expert) inlet between the Pamlico Sound and the Atlantic Ocean. Boaters are spotting deer swimming along side of them and posting pictures of course. Now we're hearing more stories about swimming deer and not just in the inlet but along piers. And other animals too! Snakes! Pigs! Bears! (Oh my!). Okay so not bears but anything is possible at this point. Maybe Woody is right for once and animals really are taking over the world. Just one more thing to be on the lookout for during your next beach vacation!
