The Muncie, Indiana police department is trying to get people to pay their parking tickets...but in a way I've never heard of. Now, instead of handing over dollar bills for parking fines, you can 'pay' with cat supplies. I'm not talking about a laser pointer here...donations of cat food, cat litter, beds and other cat paraphernalia will be accepted as payment for parking tickets. Now, you can't just bring in a can of Fancy Feast and throw the peace sign. Donations have to be equal to the actual ticket fine. But at least in this case, you know exactly where your money is going. And maybe feel a little bit better about your parking infraction...hey, you're helping feed shelter animals!
