I love hotels, motels, resorts, campgrounds, AirBnBs...and the list goes on. I love exploring whenever I can and that includes staying in unique places. I am not high brow; I'll stay anywhere as long as it's fun and interesting, from resort hotels I could never afford on my own, to a renovated bus in Shelby, NC. I collect experiences like some women collect shoes. I also love being on the water...any water. Pond, lake, creek, river, ocean...sometimes just the sound of rain will bring me peace. Now, my water and lodging dreams are coming true! A luxury waterfront hotel (with a spa!) is coming to Lake Norman. This is the first waterfront hotel on the lake and it will include its own private beach. Groundbreaking is planned for early 2020 and I am already planning my Staycation just to visit this place.
