Weezer released a new song Friday and I'm still thinking about it. 'The Beginning of the End' will be included on the soundtrack for Bill and Ted Face the Music, set to be released in theaters and VOD September 1st. (Note: other contributions to this soundtrack include Lamb of God and Cold War Kids.) I can't decide if I'm a fan of this one but it has been a few days and I'm still not mad at it. It's heavy on the electric guitar, perhaps because this track will also be included on Weezer's forthcoming 80's "metal influenced" album, Van Weezer. The album release has been pushed back multiple times (#covid) and as of now, is slated to be released in May 2021 to coincide with the Hella Mega Tour (Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Weezer). I'm even more excited about new music these days because it reminds me of LIVE MUSIC. We'll be back there again someday, kids.
