Hurricane Laura barreled ashore overnight as a Category 4 hurricane. Early reports are that, although serious (and deadly), this hurricane is "not as bad" as experts and locals anticipated. Now, I understand that this region never welcomes but is used to this kind of thing. Not a first rodeo going on down there. But have you seen the footage coming out of Texas and Louisiana?! It looks pretty serious to me and it sounds even worse. Check out this footage from a casino in Lake Charles, LA, just north of where Laura made landfall. The sound of this hurricane alone is enough to give me nightmares. I pray that the early reports are true and that the communities affected were spared the worst and are quick to rebuild.
