Having a birthday around Christmas can be hard, especially when you are younger. I never got to celebrate my birthday at school because we were out on Christmas break. Birthday parties were hard to plan because you were never really sure who was going to be in town. Now that I'm older, I just want my birthday to be recognized as the special day it is.

Things could be worse. My sister's birthday is on New Year's Eve. And my cousin's birthday is on Christmas. You can't compete with Jesus!
