The Masked Singer is a competition in which singers, actors, and athletes all perform while wearing elaborate full body costumes. Each person is dressed as an animal and a video shown before the performance gives clues to the individual's identity. The show is a battle format with six animals competing in three matches. The loser of each match is in the running to be unmasked.
This week's battles started with the hippo vs. the peacock.
Then came the monster vs. the unicorn.
And finally, the deer took on the lion.
At the end of the night, it was the hippo who was sent home. And who was inside of that suit? Wide receiver Antonio Brown.
It wasn't a bad show. I thought the masks and trying to figure out the performers' identities made the show more interesting than the other millions of singing shows on the air. The judges (Ken Jeong, Nicole Scherzinger, Robin Thicke, and Jenny McCarthy) took the show too seriously and their reactions were over the top. Take it down a notch!
I will probably watch this show again-if I remember when it airs. I do want to find out what celebrities are under the masks.
