You may know the Broadway musical 'Cats' as that show that's based on a book of poems. Or the show whose storyline is ??? Or the show that your single aunt LOVES. Now it's a movie with an all star cast. Judi Dench, Idris Elba, James Corden, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson, Ian McKellan. It's just.... so confusing. The cat-human hybrid thing makes sense on stage, because that is obviously the only option. But... on screen? I guess you can't just make CGI cats dance like humans. But then... maybe this is one of those shows that was meant to stay JUST on stage.
I mean, I'm DEFINITELY going to go see it. With that cast, it HAS to be good. Or, and I don't know if this is a better alternative, the studio tricked that many A-listers into doing the worst movie of their lives.
Either way, pass the popcorn.
