We have seen some crazy stuff, but nothing like this cart that is out of control at O'Hare Airport in Chicago. This is the cart that re-supplies the aircraft with drinks and snacks. According to some reports a water bottle fell on to the accelerator and wedged it wide open in reverse. A quick thinking gate/ baggage worker made sure to get this cart stopped BEFORE it slammed into the plane and caused a lot more damage, including delaying the flight. Can you imagine being a passenger sitting in the airport watching this unfold? Would you get on the flight after something like this happened? Or would you take it as a sign that it is time to take another plane? How much money did this guy save his company by having that thing NOT slam into the aircraft? GIVE HIM A RAISE!
