We've always been told to head indoors during a lighting storm. Did you also know that people indoors during lightning storms should stay off electronics, avoid plumbing, stay away from windows, doors, and concrete walls. A woman in Louisiana learned that (almost the hard way) when she stepped out onto her porch to watch the passing storm. Sarah Ribardi walked out of her place 7:45 p.m. Friday. Video shows the sky was illuminated with a flash of light as lightning struck a tree close to Ribardi's home, and thunder cracked through the atmosphere as Ribardi ducked for cover from incoming debris. To say that it was a close call isn't even coming close. 4 homes were damaged from this one lighting strike!
