A carnival ride at the National Cherry Festival in Michigan malfunctioned, and bystanders helped stabilize it. This happened on The Magic Carpet Ride as it was spinning out of control and rocking back and forth. How bad did it get? So bad that people who saw what was going on hopped on the platform to keep it steady. The operator unplugged the ride and it slowly came to a stop with no injuries. We love how the local news covered it and call it an apparent problem. Here is a clue news people, If it takes bystanders to hold your ride down so it doesn't tip over and hurt or kill the riders, you can go ahead and drop the APPARENT out of your reporting!!
