When the cell phone first started to have the ability to take pictures is when the hobby of photobombing really took off. Sure, some people could jump into other people's photos before this, but then you had to wait for that film to be developed and printed before you could see your handiwork. Thanks to cell phones we now can photobomb just about anyone. Take this cat for example. He doesn't care that a proposal is going on behind him. Cats don't do proposals, they do attention.
