Doing the play-by-play for any sport, outside of baseball, is a pretty demanding job. In fact, being the play-by-play person for a hockey game has to be one of the more demanding jobs in broadcasting, and that's why we cut this guy a little slack. Is it funny that the hockey puck shot all the way up to the announcer? Not really. Is it funny the way this announcer reacted to the puck flying over his head? Yes, absolutely. We know being an announcer during hockey is hard, and pucks can be scary, and we think we would probably do exactly what this announcer did...but we can still play it and enjoy the audio.
